SDHC Achievement Academy: ALL low-income City of San Diego residents (regardless of whether or not they receive HCVs) are welcome to enroll in the SDHC's Achievement Academy, a free learning and resource center that hosts in-person and virtual classes about work-readiness, financial independence, health & wellness and more. Family Self Sufficiency Program: Section 8 Voucher recipients can participate in the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Program to reach their educational and career goals. HACSD will provide a variety of resources to help you meet your goals. As you increase your income, savings will be deposited into an escrow account which will grow with you as you meet your goals. At the end of the program, the savings in the escrow account will be released to you. You can find more information here and apply for the program by e-mailing HCSDFSS.HHSA@sdcounty.ca.gov.
