The earliest set of briefs on fiche cover 1895 - 1935 (both Supreme and appellate courts are included in this set). This set is located in Cabinet 5, Drawer 3.
Two sets are arranged by the Cal Reports (C) or Cal App (CA) reporter number (the actual docket number will typically be found in the case report itself, usually near the header). These sets occur at the beginning of the Courts of Appeals briefs and the Supreme Court briefs respectively.
